ILLLS have announced their debut release, an E.P. titled "DARK PARADISE," out June 17th via the excellent U.K. label SOUNDS OF SWEET NOTHING.  They're playing this Friday 5/4 at Proud Larry's with GRAY THINGS.  Below you can scope the video for "TEETH" and stream a new track called "BATHROOM FLOOR." FRANKIE ROSE + DIVE @ CATS PURRING DUDE RANCH 4/11/12

Brooklyn, NY's finest FRANKIE ROSE performs at the Cats Purring Dude Ranch next Wednesday 4/11/12, hot on the heels of her fantastic, highly acclaimed album "INTERSTELLAR."  Frankie is a former member of Vivian Girls, Crystal Stilts, and Dum Dum Girls, but she's in a league of her own with this new stuff, which finds her moving on from C86 jangle into the realm of shoegazey 80s synth pop.  Opening the show will be the excellent Brooklyn band DIVE (the project of Beach Fossils guitarist Z. Cole Smith).

Doors open at 9pm.  DIVE play at 10pm, and FRANKIE ROSE goes on at 11pm.  Cover charge is $5.  BYOB.  Safety first.  Let's do this!

REAL ESTATE + TWERPS @ CATS PURRING DUDE RANCH 4/8/12

Perennial homies of Cats Purring REAL ESTATE play the Cats Purring Dude Ranch this Sunday 4/8/12.  Yes, that's Easter, so ditch your boring family early and come hang out.  This is Real Estate's third show in Oxford, so most of you don't need our seal of approval to know this will be an unforgettable affair.

Australian band TWERPS open the show.  We caught them play in Brooklyn last week, and they ripped it.  The great UNDERWATER PEOPLES put out their debut LP last year, so bring extra cash to cop that alongside Real Estate's latest classic DAYS at the merch table.

Doors are at 9pm.  TWERPS play at 10pm.  REAL ESTATE play at 11pm.  Since it's a Sunday and a few of y'all have real jobs, we're trying to stick to that.  Cover charge is $7.  BYOB, but please be safe and respectful of our house.  Call a cab if you're too sauced to drive.  Local taxi drivers are your friends.  See y'all Sunday.
