Cats Purring Spring Break continues Monday 3/14 at Proud Larry's with hyped psych pranksters DOM (Worcester, MA), sample-pop deconstructionists WISE BLOOD (Pittsburgh, PA), and former Ariel Pink and Panda Bear collaborator SORE EROS (Northampton, MA). Doors at 8pm. Cover charge is $8.

CATS PURRING's perpetual writer-in-residence MICHAEL BIBLE has a new book available for pre-order from DARK SKY PRESS. You may know MICHAEL BIBLE as co-editor of KITTY SNACKS and author of MY SECOND BEST BEAR RUG and GORILLA MATH. BIBLE drums for the psych-country band also named COWBOY MALONEY'S ELECTRIC CITY (a conceptual companion to this book), and he's featured in the current issue of ESPN Magazine as the recipient of their first ever fiction prize.

Blacksburg, VA's WILD NOTHING bring their acclaimed indie pop tunes to Oxford, MS tonight at Proud Larry's. Los Angeles, CA's tropical punk turned synth pop group ABE VIGODA will co-headline the show with an opening set from Oxford's WINTER SPORT. Show starts at 9pm sharp. Tickets are $8.
